Our Privacy Commitment
At NearBridge, we respect candidate and employer privacy. We do not sell your personal data to telemarketers or third-party recruiters. Candidate phone numbers are kept private and never exposed publicly on the web.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you register as an employer or job seeker, we collect your name, mobile phone number, email address (optional), and password (stored using one-way bcrypt cryptographic hashing).
- Location Data: To help you discover nearby jobs, shops, and services, we request your approximate or precise geographic location (GPS) solely with your device permission.
- Classified Postings: Company details, addresses, and job/service listings submitted by employers and merchants are published publicly for candidate discovery.
2. How We Protect Candidate Phone Numbers
Unlike open classified portals that expose candidate contact information to spam scrapers, NearBridge requires employers and users to authenticate before initiating contact. Candidates can also communicate with employers using our secure Safe & Private In-App Chat where candidate phone numbers remain completely hidden.
3. Cookies & Session Storage
We use secure HTTP session cookies solely to maintain your authentication state, language preferences (Google Translate), and saved jobs. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
- Maps & Geocoding: OpenStreetMap / Leaflet for mapping coordinates.
- Multilingual Translation: Google Translate API widget for seamless Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, and English translation.
- Direct Calling / WhatsApp: When you click Call or WhatsApp, you communicate directly via your device's native phone dialer or WhatsApp application.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
Users may request modification or deletion of their account and posted listings at any time by contacting our support team or using their dashboard settings.
